Class Description:
Participants will learn their obligations under various State and Federal laws in creating a data security program, implementing and maintaining reasonable safe-guards to protect the security, confidentiality, integrity of data, and, proper disposal of data! Failure to understand and comply with their legal responsibilities may result in serious legal and financial consequences. Participants will learn 5 key principles for protecting personal information, and will be given sources for additional guidance, and sample policies created by government agencies, and the National Association of Realtors. Trust is at the heart of the Real Estate business. A techno-digital economy has taken on new dimensions that impact how real estate professional collect, share, and protect the information they use, and the confidentiality and integrity of the information they collect and use on behalf of their consumers.
